About Rayworth & Robert Surveys Ltd.

Rayworth and Roberts Surveys Limited has provided Nova Scotia and New Brunswick with Professional Land Surveying services since 1976. Our company can handle all your surveying needs: Residential Properties, Woodlots, Cottage Lots, Commercial properties, Construction, etc. We have three Nova Scotia Land Surveyors, two New Brunswick Land Surveyors, a Canada Lands Surveyor and knowledgeable Field Crews and Administrative support on staff. A majority of our survey work in Nova Scotia is completed in Cumberland County and Colchester County while our New Brunswick work is predominantly carried out in Westmorland County. The company continues to demonstrate its expertise in all facets of boundary, control, construction, engineering, and offshore positioning surveys. In 2014 Rayworth and Roberts Surveys proudly received accreditation from the Nova Scotia Construction Safety Association (NSCSA) for its strong safety program.

Michael Gould

President and Owner NBLS, NSLS, CLS, QPII

Michael was employed by Rayworth & Roberts Surveys Ltd. in 2004 and became the owner in 2009. Between the years of 2008 and 2010 he received his commission to practice as a Canada Lands Surveyor and obtained a license to practice as a Provincial Land Surveyor in both Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. During this time he also received a certificate to practice as a QPII which allows him to select and inspect on-site sewage disposal systems. Michael is responsible for the day to day Management of the Company and provides Quality Assurance for all projects taken on by Rayworth and Roberts Surveys.

Kyle Tower

Articling Land Surveyor

Kyle Tower graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor degree of Science in Geomatics and Geodesy Engineering with the Cadastral Surveying Option in 2021. He began working with Rayworth and Roberts in the same year. He is involved with all processes of legal surveys, subdivision layouts/design, construction surveys, and topographic surveys. He is currently Articling to become a New Brunswick Land Surveyor.

Chris Allen

Geomatics Technologist

Chris Allen graduated from the two year survey program at the Centre of Geographic Sciences in 2012. Chris worked as a Survey Technologist in British Columbia for 10 year prior to joining Rayworth & Roberts in 2022. His duties include Legal Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Construction layout and calculations and office work (CAD work and registry research).

Matthew Rochon

Geomatics Technologist QPII

Matt Rochon graduated from the two year survey program at the Centre of Geographic Sciences in 2009. He started work at Rayworth & Roberts in 2008 as a summer student after his first year of survey school. His duties include Legal Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Construction layout and calculations and office work (CAD work and registry research). In 2011 Matt acquired his QPII license from the Department of Environment to perform soil assessments for building lots and septic system selection and placement.

Zackary Ryan

NS Land Surveyor

Zackary Ryan graduated from the Center of Geographic Science in 2011 with a 97% average in the Geomatics Technologists Diploma program. He began working with Rayworth & Roberts in the same year. Zack received his Nova Scotia Land Surveyors Licence in 2017.

Shawanoswe Tooley

Junior Party Chief, Civil Engineering Tech

Shawanoswe Tooley, hired in July 2013 as a Junior Party Chief studied at Humber College in Ontario. His duties are retracing urban, cottage and woodlot boundaries, and performing construction and topographic surveys. Also, in the office he does CAD work, calculations and a number of other duties. He is the company’s Safety Officer and is responsible for implementing our NSCSA approved safety program.
